US University Tours Launches Custom Group Tours for Prospective International Students
Citing growing demand from overseas, this new venture will bring foreign students to the United States to explore undergraduate admissions at colleges and universities.
Ramsey, NJ (PRWEB) February 29, 2012
Leading educational tour operator All Aboard Tours & Travel has introduced a new venture called US University Tours, designed to draw more foreign students to study in the United States. For over 30 years All Aboard Tours has taken groups of domestic students to visit campuses and experience universities first hand. At the request of many of its university hosts, the company is expanding its service to serve prospective international students.
Interest in studying in the United States continues to grow. According to IIE's Open Doors Report, there are over 720,000 foreign students studying at universities in the United States today and all indications point to further growth, especially at the bachelor's level. "The initial reaction has been incredible" according to Wayne Weinzoff president of the company. "We have schools wanting our tours to visit them, government officials eager to support our efforts and very strong interest from overseas partners who are interested in selling tours overseas."
US University Tours is available to the public exclusively through language schools and AIRC member education agents. Tours are custom designed for each group and include transportation, accommodations, all tour planning and meals. Tours mix campus visits with sightseeing and activities to give a full immersion into American life. "Our host universities have pledged to roll out the red carpet for these students, offering in-depth campus tours, opportunities to interact with students and faculty and in some cases a chance to sit in class lectures" said Weinzoff. "Bilingual tour managers accompany the tour every step of the way giving students a chance to improve their English speaking skills and immerse themselves in American culture.
Western New England University is one of US University Tours host universities. As such they welcome tours to campus with open arms, giving the international students a private tour of campus, letting them meet faculty members with ties to their home country and seeing what makes American universities so desirable. According to Richard Keating, VP of Strategic Initiatives at Western New England University "US University Tours fit well into our vision of internationalization at Western New England University. Our university's strategic plan directs us to expand our international undergraduate enrollment and we believe working with US University Tours will help us achieve our goal. We eagerly await the arrival of their international student groups this summer."
To help develop overseas partnerships, the company has added Mark Shay as Vice-President. Shay is well known among international student recruiters and is anticipating tours to start in May of this year. "We have created a product that is ideal organizations that help guide students to schools" said Shay. "In the past, students from overseas have only seen campuses from web site and brochures and are often surprised when they arrive on campus. With US University Tours, they have a chance to really explore the American market and truly find the ideal school."
Tours are sold exclusively through authorized agents and overseas partners of the firm. For a list of these partners, or to explore the business further, visit the company's web site at http://www.USuniversityTours.com
